BUDGET ANNOUNCEMENT
The 2013-14 proposed school budget was not passed by voters on May 21st - 1,169 voted NO and 773 voted YES (6% of the 38,000 registered voters in Mount Vernon voted). In response, the Board of Education and Administration are reworking the budget for Board approval on Wednesday May 29th and again invites all of the city community to provide feedback and suggestions. More updates to come. Please mark your calendar to vote again on June 18th.
